A few of them are: 1) Technology, which will be the most indispensable asset in the near future and beyond 2) Smart work etiquette and protocols, where chair-side time is the most expensive commodity- is a reality that has dawned on us. 3) Conservation of financial resources and a nation's assets and optimally generate new ones (atmanirbharta - as our beloved PM calls it) is the order of the day! |

"Flash" embodies these three virtues integral to "Forward"ing orthodontic care! Aligners today are main-stay of orthodontic practices for a diverse mix of cases and this trend is on the upswing globally! This has also seen clinicians spoilt for choice on different brands of aligners available. This trend, though encouraging, poses choices as treating clinicians for us. Questions that need scientific answers! The first decade of aligner use in orthodontics was optimism and mixed with scepticism , the second decade was brand centric and acceptance of reality, what does the crystal ball foretell for the third decade ? Clinical evidence, clinician knowledge and predictability of aligners will be the focus areas. Aligner v/s Braces will no longer be a relevant discussion or debate - as patient preferences (in this era of multi-media marketing) will see health care in general and orthodontics in particular move from paternalism towards patient autonomy. The "Flash" team braces for its pan India immensely growing presence - with "science" and the "specialist orthodontist" integral to aligner therapeutics! I've no doubt that "Flash" will be a major experience provider for orthodontic solutions in India and beyond! |

| Delivering Flash Smiles - The "TEEN" experience | ||||||

According to my experience, patients who are in their mixed or early permanent dentition period should be considered under the comprehensive i.e, maximum case category as the treatment virtually planned has to correlate to clinical changes during the growth phase. In Such cases, reboots are required during the transition of dentition and subsequent tooth eruption. While, teen patients with late permanent dentition with all teeth upto 2nd molars erupted can be considered under any available case category options depending on the underlying malocclusion and treatment requirements. The above 2 variables have been depicted in these 2 Flash Teen Cases. |
